Purposes of data processing by the body responsible and third parties

We process your personal data solely for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration. Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

  • You have given your express consent to this
  • The processing is necessary in order to process a contract with you
  • The processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation

– and if the processing is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We will therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as required by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or such periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as the IP address, browser used, operating system, and your Internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and to display our web pages correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

You can of course also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set so that they accept cookies. Generally, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time using your browser settings. Please use the your Internet browser’s help functions to learn how to change these settings. Please note that some functions on our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

Registration on our website

Some personal data is collected when you register to use our personalized services, such as your name, address, contact and communication data such as phone number and e-mail address. Once you are registered with us, you can access content and services that we only offer to registered users. Registered users are also able to change or delete the data provided during registration at any time. We will of course also provide you with information about the personal data we have stored about you at any time. We are also happy to correct or delete the data at your request, provided there are no legal obligations to retain them. To contact us in connection with this, please use the contact details provided at the end of this data protection declaration.

SSL encryption

We use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS to protect the security of your data during transmission.

Newsletter

On the basis of your explicit consent, we will regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by e-mail to your specified e-mail address.

Your e-mail address is sufficient for subscribing to the newsletter. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for that purpose. Subscribers may also be notified by e-mail of circumstances relevant to the service or registration (e.g., changes in the newsletter provision or technical matters).

A valid e-mail address is needed for effective registration. In order to verify that a registration has actually been carried out by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. For this purpose, we log the ordering of the newsletter, the dispatch of a confirmation e-mail, and the receipt of the reply requested in it. No other data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

You may revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for newsletter dispatch at any time. A link for doing this is included in every newsletter. You can also use the contact details given at the end of this data protection notice to inform us of such a request.

Contact form

If you contact us with any questions by e-mail or via the contact form, you thereby give us your voluntary consent for the purpose of contacting you. To do this, it is necessary for you to provide a valid e-mail address, which is used to classify the query and then answer it. The addition of other data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. Personal data will be deleted automatically after your request has been dealt with.

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to present our content correctly and in a graphically appealing form across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google web fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google web fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache in order to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google web fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is therefore theoretically possible for the operators of such libraries to collect data — although it is currently also unclear whether they do so and, if so, for what purposes.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration to ensure that it always corresponds to current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration — e.g., when introducing new services. Your later visits will then be subject to the new data protection declaration.
